On Thursday, March 31, 2022, Brady Thomas Cooper, "Cute Little Brady," loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away much too early at the young age of 51 and went home to Jesus at 7:01 PM. He had a thing for the number 7.
Brady was born in George Washington University Hospital in downtown Washington, DC on July 7, 1970 (7/7/70). He turned 7 on 7/7/77. One of Brady’s unique experiences was living and going to elementary school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from July 1980 until June 1982. In 1981, he had the unique experience of celebrating his birthday (July 7) twice as he was traveling from Hong Kong to Hawaii on his trip around the world and crossed the date line on his birthday.
He graduated in 1992 from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and a Master of Arts (MA) in 1994 from Morehead. He worked in several publishing companies as an artist both in Eastern KY and the Washington, DC area.
In February 2000, he went to work for Auto Trader publishing company in Lexington as a Composition Department Manager and then as Business Analyst/Project Manager and continued in this role until March 2006. He moved to Virginia Beach, VA in March 2001 to continue his career with Trader Publishing Enterprise where he stayed until the 2010 recession. In the cutback, Auto Trader cut the Commercial Truck operation. At that time, Brady took the severance money and started his own graphic arts consulting service.
Brady was known for his hearty laugh, his infectious smile, his ability to talk to anyone, his love for his dogs, and his life of "catching more flies with honey than ya do with vinegar." Brady was loving, joyful, and kind. Brady reserved his place in Heaven when he asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior in the Summer of 2001. Brady continued to lead Bible studies in the Virginia Beach area.
Brady is survived by his father, Tommye; sister, Debra; brother, Curtis; 6 nieces and nephews, 1 great-nephew, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
