Charles E. Borden

Barlow, KY Charles E. Borden passed away Tuesday December 13, 2022 at Baptist Health in Paducah KY. He was born March 14, 1936 in Wickliffe, KY to his parents, Charles M. and Lorene Rollins Borden. He was 86 years old.

Charles was a member of Barlow Baptist Church where he served a deacon for several years. He was employed for over 30 years as a lumber inspector for Wald Schmidt Lumber. His hobbies were fishing, camping and woodworking. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Chuck Borden (Sally) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; three daughters, Sherry Overstreet of LaCenter, Wendy Haynes (Jeff) of Barlow, KY, and Lana Borden of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Marilyn (Marilyn (Sissy) Pickett and her husband Malcolm of Barlow, KY and Ann Garrett of West Paducah, KY; eleven grandchildren, Ronnie Overstreet (Michelle), Jake Overstreet (Libby), Denise Sullenger, Shannon Haynes, Jourden Haynes, Bryce Haynes, Kyle Borden (Carrie), Kayla Cook (Eric) , Austin Manning, Kelsey Manning and Gatlin Manning; twenty great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Sue Borden; a brother, William Borden and his parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2022, 11:00 a.m. for the family and friends after 12:00 pm at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter KY.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter KY with the Rev. Brian Overstreet officiating. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
