Barlow, KY, Charles William Burnett (Buck) age 77 passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.He was born December 4, 1946, in Oscar, KY to his late parents, Pete and Genelle (Ferguson) Burnett.
Buck was employed most of his working years as an Iron Worker and was a member of an Iron Worker's Union in Tyler, Texas. He loved the outdoors whether it was working in his garden, Camping, fishing, hiking or hunting squirrel or rabbit. Buck was a Viet Nam Army Veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. Buck was a big prankster. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Vickie Burnett of Barlow, KY; two sons, Nick Sprinkle of Lockport, Illinois, Charles Burnett of Markham, Illinois; a daughter, Natalie Doublin (Derek) of Barlow, Ky; two grandchildren, Aubrey Doublin and Ethan Doublin; a brother, David Burnett (Wanda) of Barlow, KY; three sisters, Rochelle Boyce of Texas, Melody Kearney of Texas, and Melinda Burnett of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Glen Burnett, Mike Burnett, and Robert Dale Roy and an infant sister.
A celebration of life visitation will be held Tuesday, November26, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.
