Kevil, KY, Cheryl Ann Frazer, age 68, passed away at Stonecreek Nursing and Rehab on January 7, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1956, in Tuscan, Arizona to her parents, Bob and Doris Childress.
Cheryl was a 1974 graduate from Ballard Memorial High School. After graduation she attended Paducah Community College where she obtained her degree and became a registered nurse. Cheryl began working as a nurse at Lourdes and Baptist Hospitals in Paducah, later transferring to St. Thomas Hospital and Donnelson Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee and ended her dedicated career as the Director of Nursing at Superior Care. She thoroughly enjoyed being a nurse and taking care of others. Alongside taking care of others, Cheryl also had a love for taking care of and rehabilitating wildlife. She was licensed through fish and wildlife and had her own business known as Our Wild Neighbors Rescue and Rehabilitation. Cheryl was a member of Heartland Church.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mark Frazer of Kevil, KY; one daughter, Raven Shay (Brian) Byassee of Paducah, KY; two sons, Chadwick Allan (Dyanna) Crabtree of LaCenter, KY and Nathaniel Dale (MaryBeth) Crabtree of Bandana, KY; one step-son, Mark Andrew (Heather) Frazer of Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Brittany (Josh), Tiffany (Cait), Devon (Catherine), Kyler, Ashton(Trinity), Kaylee, Logan and Katie (Cade), Chanda; several great-grandchildren; a cousin, Mattie Sue Stephens of Mayfield, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one step-daughter Misty Frazer.
A celebration of Cheryl's life will take place at a later date.
