David D Jones

LaCenter, KY David D. Jones, age 65, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah, KY. He was born January 29, 1958 in Cairo, Illinois.

David graduated from Ballard Memorial High School in 1976. After High School he was employed by the City of LaCenter for one year. For 25 years he was employed at Westvaco in Wickliffe and retired in 2003. David enjoyed a great football game, his team was the Kansas City Royals. He loved Judge T.V. programs, a ride in the country and was a fabulous dancer. David was a positive man, he never had a negative word to say. He loved his family and will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Jones of LaCenter; a son David Jones of Mounds, Ill; two step-sons, Kamunde Scott of Charleston, MO and Jason Sharp of Charleston, MO; step daughter, Angela Wheeler of Charleston, MO; five brothers, Warren Durrell of Wickliffe, KY, Jacque Jones of Wickliffe, KY, Federgarik Henderson of Paducah, KY, Charles Henderson of Paducah, KY and Leo Henderson of Texas; two sisters Suzanne Smith of LaCenter, KY and Julie Berry of Wickliffe, KY. Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Henderson; Stepfather, Charles Henderson Sr.; grandmother, Elsie Love; four brothers, Anthony Jones, Victor Jones, James Henderson, and Shaunza Henderson; a step daughter, Lillian Scott.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Morrow Funeral Chapel from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Pryor officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wickliffe, KY.
