Kevil, Ky, Debra Kaye Vinson, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Baptist Health of Paducah. She was born on April 2, 1958, in Bandana, Ky to her parents Carl Lee Bass and Hazel Jean Guess.
Debra was a member of New Covenant Church. She was full of life, had a witty personality and could make anyone and everyone laugh. She brought sunshine everywhere she went. Debra loved people and never met a stranger.
She loved traveling to the beach and in her spare time she loved to shop. She had a love for cats and never met one she didn’t want to keep. Most of all, Debra loved her family. She was the centerpiece and was the glue to hold it all together.
Debra is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jerry Vinson of Kevil; one daughter, Kimberly Parker (Zachery) of Cunningham, KY; one stepdaughter, Allison Faye Vinson (Jamie) of Louisville, KY; one stepson Bradley A Vinson of Cunningham, KY; three brothers, Steve Bass (Roberta) of Lone Oak, Gary Lynn Bass (Reba) of Bandana, Eugene Waters of Louisville, KY; one sister, Betty Garrett (Jim) of LaCenter; two sisters-in-law, Patty Bass of Kevil and Donna Bass of Kevil; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher O’Neil Rodgers; three brothers, Timothy Bass, James Bass, and Michael Bass; one sister, Carla Sue Bass; one sister-in-law, Ginger Bass; her stepmother, Ruth Bass and her parents.
Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. until funeral time.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel of LaCenter at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Lunsford officiating.
Interment will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Asher Cemetery on Asher Cemetery Road in Caldwell County at 10:00 a.m with Rev. Dean Ray officiating.
