Dick Cooper

Wickliffe, KY- Dick Cooper, age 74 died Friday, July 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by three sons, Todd Cooper (Marla) of Barlow, KY, Michael Cooper (Jill) of Kevil, KY and Will Cooper of Wickliffe, KY; one daughter, Laura Cochran (Jason) of Tampa, FL; nine grandchildren, Laine Cooper, Kayla Vance, Keagan Cooper, Peyton Cooper, Brighton Cooper, Vivian Cooper, Brandon Evans, Laila Cochran and Jace Cochran; five great grandchildren, Dax Cooper, Crosby Cooper, Jude Vance, Cooper Shay Vance and Lucy Vance; one sister, Susie Murray (Jerry) of Austin, TX; one brother, Danny Cooper of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.

Dick is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Deneise Parham Cooper; his parents, Ben and Vivian Herring Cooper; four brothers, Bob Cooper, Billy Cooper, Shorty Cooper and Joe Cooper; three sisters, Mildred Duley, Sally Cooper and Ann Weir.
 

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wickliffe. Dick worked as a self employed carpenter for 35 years and was an avid gardener and took great pride in his ability to successfully grow a wide variety of plants and trees around his home. He was a life long baseball fan and served as treasurer, vice president and president of the Ballard County Ballpark for 25 years. Dick was instrumental in the growth and sustainability of the Ballard County Ballpark during that period.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Morrow Funeral Chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Butch Latta officiating.
