Dorothy Lee Gilreath

Kevil, KY, Dorothy Lee Benton Gilreath, age 85, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Mills Health and Rehab. She was born on November 14, 1939, to her parents Henry and Frances Woods Turner.

Dorothy was a member of Newton Creek Baptist Church where she loved serving the Lord. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and loved listening to gospel music. Dorothy was employed at a shirt factory, LeRoy & Litas Restuarant, Cracker Barrell in Nashville and later retired from Enterprise. She had previously worked at Jones Funeral Home where she was able to help those who lost loved ones. She had a servant's heart and was always looking to help those in need.

Dororthy is survived by three sons, Dwayne Benton of Kevil, Dwight (Tara) Benton of Kevil and Brian (Christina) Benton of Georgia; two daughters, Della (Dan) Reagan of Gilbertsville, Ky and Benita (Jimmy) Reed of Mayfield, Ky; three sisters, Henrietta Tyler of Texas, Wanda Rasmussen of Salt Lake City, Utah and Carol Goldstone of Cincinatti, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Venita (Brad) Brooks, Joseph (Heather) Tucker, Amanda (Chad) Crutchfield, Justin (Kendra) Benton, Mateo Sanchez, Cynthia (Kane) Sanchez, and Ashley Reagan; and eleven great grandchildren, Abby Brooks, Ethan Brooks, Jennifer Tucker, Christopher Tucker, Colton Crutchfield, Lilly Benton, Nolan Pool, Arabella Pool, Mateo Sanchez Jr., Amia Sanchez, and Ayana Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Morrison, Judy Flood and Donnetta Harris; one grandson, Derrick Pool and her parents.

Visitation Services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. then resuming on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. until funeral time.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Keith Tilford officiating.

Interment will follow at Newton Creek Cemetery.
