Emily (Stratton) Nowselski

LaCenter, KY Emily Nowselski, age 97, was born in LaCenter, Kentucky June 9, 1925 to the late, Aubrey and Claudie Stratton. She passed away August 1, 2022, at The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, Florida.

Emily's hobbies were Bible studies at her house every Saturday. She took FAU students every year to Night of Joy in Orlando for 30 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She enjoy going to the beach in the morning and have a devotional time. She was the volunteer director of United Campus Ministry at FAU in charge for 17 clubs. She loves people through God's love. She helped FAU students through praying for the exams and encourage them to keep trusting God in their lives. She describes herself "I am more like a base, I am really just a servant of all" She retired at age 86 years old.

She was married to Anthony Nowselski (Toni), who passed away when he was 70 years old. Emily and Toni did not have any children so they gave their time to teach the bible at their house from ages of 10 to 14 years old. Also, they had college students and graduate students to help them become adults by teaching God's word, budgeting, and taught to give back to the community through their example. Emily and Toni supported many FAU students by giving them a place to stay in their house. They went to basketball games and cheer them on!!! They love FAU students.

Emily and Toni have decided to give all their money to an FAU foundation to support the students in their walk with God and bring students to Christ. In addition, Emily and Toni will give back their money to the church because of all they received they wanted to give it back to the Lord.

A Graveside service was held Thursday, August 4, 2022 at LaCenter Cemetery with the Rev. John Carroll officiating. Interment followed at LaCenter Cemetery.
