Paducah, KY Etta Carlene Haney, age 86, passed away at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY on Friday, April 19, 2024. She was born August 22, 1937 in Mounds, Illinois to her late parents, Cecil and Christine Evelyn (Marrs) Tanksley.
Carlene was of the Methodist Faith. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carlene's hobbies were cross stitching and painting. She adored her little dog, Abby who brought her so much joy and comfort. Carlene was a fabulous cook.
She is survived by a son, Michael Haney (Tanya) of Cape Coral, Florida; a daughter, Vicki Crider (Kenneth) of Humble, Texas; Matt Haney's Mother, Aimee Haney of Kevil, KY; two brothers, Carl Tanksley of Granite City, Illinois, Ken Tanksley of Muskogee, Oklahoma; four sisters Stella Hoover of Largo, Florida, Donna Purvis of Paducah, Janet Evans of Paducah, KY, Debbie Staples of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren, Greg Crider, Wendy Smith, Matt Haney; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
Carlene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Haney; her parents and baby sister, Mary Lucille Tanksley.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 after 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter with Matt Haney officiating. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
