Fred W. Powell

Barlow, KY Fred Powell, age 89, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 23, 1935, to his late parents, Olle Andrew and Bertha Hannah Powell.

Fred was a phenomenal mechanic and retired after being employed for 35 years at Dan's Implement in LaCenter, KY.

He is survived by a son, Chris Powell; two daughters, Karen Childers; and Jedna Blackburn (Justin) of Central City, KY a sister, Christine Mays of Lilbourn, MO. a , and three grandchildren; Robin Childers of Murray, KY. Eric Chandler and Mackenzie Chandler.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife Donna Rose Powell, a son, Frank Allen Powell, four brothers, Don Powell, Billy Powell, Milton Powell and Clark Powell: a sister Lorene Divinny and his parents.

There are no services planned at this time.
