Janie Rainer

LaCenter, KY Janie Rainer, age 79 passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025. She was born on August 10, 1946, in Cairo, Illinois to her late parents Roy Earl and Ella Mae (Harrison) Spinks.

Janie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was employed at Stevens Chevrolet where she retired after 34 years of dedication and service. She loved to cook and enjoyed working in her flower garden. Her greatest pride and joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she loved nothing more than to spoil them dearly. Janie was devoted to her family and was known as the rock and glue that held it all together.

She is survived by a son, Roy Rainer (Tracy) of Eagle River, Alaska; a daughter, Cheyanne Stevens of LaCenter; a brother, Roy Allen Spinks of LaCenter, KY; three grandchildren, Laramie Rainer, Destinie Rainer and ShaRayna Ellington; a great grandson, Landen Rainer.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Alphonse (Butch) Rainer, a brother, Bennie Spinks and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4-6 P.M. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.
