Jean Viann (Batts) Menser

Kevil, KY Jean Viann Menser, age 80, passed away at Baptist Health in Paducah on Friday, May 10, 2024. She was born April 3, 1944 to her late parents, Letcher Miller and Dorothy Bell (Carpenter)  Batts.

Viann loved to do jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed playing cards especially Uno. Her family was her life and she loved visiting friends and family.

She is survived by three sons, John Menser of LaCenter, KY, David Menser of Kevil, KY and Mark Menser of Kevil, KY; a daughter Jeana Menser of Kevil, KY; five sisters Rita Renfrow (Jerry) of Barlow, KY, Nita Hodge of Cadiz, KY, Glenda Batts of Barlow, KY, Linda Kurley (Mike) of Wickliffe, KY, Jane Polivick (Jimmie) of Wickliffe, KY; one granddaughter, Alysha Bellamy and great granddaughter Hay-Den Layton; two nieces that were dear to her heart, Cindy Shankle of Barlow and Mary Claypoole of LaCenter, KY; several nieces and nephews.

Viann is preceded in death by two brothers and Donnie Batts and Wayne Batts; a sister, Faye Webb , an infant brother and her parents.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 11:00  a.m. at Barlow Cemetery with nephew Tim Batts officiating. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
