Joe King

Kevil, KY Joe King, age 91, passed away at his home Tuesday, November 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 5, 1932 in Barlow, KY to his late parents Garnett and Dixie Bennett King. Joe was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 70 years where he served as Elder, Sunday School Teacher, and caretaker over Bethel Cumberland Cemetery. He was an Air Force Veteran. Joe's employment included forty years as Engineer in Operations at Martin Marietta, until he retired in 1995; then returned as a consultant and retired again in 2009. Joe was a man of God, amazing husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by a son, Blake King and his wife Robin of Paducah, KY; two daughters, Delinda McDermott and her husband Ed of Kevil, KY and Kim Stokes of Kevil, KY; one sister, Paula Rudolph of Paducah, KY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Alice Earle King; a brother, Donald King; a sister, Betty Fletcher and his parents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Drew Gray officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Bethel Cumberland Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 12304 Wickliffe Road Kevil, KY 42053.
