Joseph David Griffin

Kevil, KY Joseph David Griffin, age 86, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at Life Care Center in LaCenter.

David was born December 24, 1935 to his late parents, Joseph and LeaVerda Ratcliff Griffin. David enjoyed the outdoors especially when he was hunting, fishing or working in the garden. He attended Faith Center in Paducah. David was an electrician by trade who owned and operated Griffin Sales in LaCenter for eleven years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Griffin of Kevil, KY; a son, Bill Griffin (Holly) of Gage, KY; a daughter, Dana Ingram (Gary) of Bandana, KY; two brothers, Tommy Griffin of Georgia and Noel Griffin of Texas; four grandchildren Zachary Griffin (Alexa), Devin Griffin (Layken), Colby Dome and Alyssa Dome; two step grandchildren, Matt Ingram and Gorgeann Ingram; three great grandchildren, Ella Griffin, Levi Griffin, and Lydia Griffin.

David was preceded in death by a son, David Scott Griffin; four sisters, Billie Jo Thomas, Shirley Young, Karen Kidd, LaFonne Griffin and his parents.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with the Rev. John Aitken officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
