Lisa Faye Brown

Lisa Faye Doublin Brown, age 52, of LaCenter, KY, passed away at her home on November 17, 2025. Lisa’s parents were Sudie Colson Holdman and Mike Doublin.

Lisa earned an accounting degree from Murray State University and did accounting/bookkeeping for various small businesses and clients. Prior to that, Lisa worked at a bus customization shop called Transformations VIP. She and a friend there formed a business partnership called, P & L Enterprises. Twenty-five years ago, Lisa and Paula opened Backwoods Bar-B-Que where it continues to prosper by family. Lisa had an unconditional love for her cats. She enjoyed nurturing flowers & tropical plants, as well as, playing eye spy games on her iPad.

Lisa is survived by her dad & stepmom, Mike & René Doublin of Wickliffe, two half-brothers, Matthew Holdman of Paducah, Tristan (Nikki) Holdman of LaCenter, and half-sister, Jackie Doublin of Paducah, two nieces and a great niece as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and beloved fur baby, Kole.

Preceding in death were her mom, Sudie Holdman, grandparents W.T. and Faye Colson, and Bobbie Jean Yarbrough, and Bailey Doublin, and her fur babies, Red, Tigger, & Mr. O. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Ballard Animal Shelter, 664 Broadway St., Barlow, KY 42024.
