LaCenter, KY Malcolm Stewart, 96, of LaCenter, KY passed away on June 25, 2024 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was born August 2, 1927 to his late parents, Malcolm and Laura (Howell) Stewart. Malcolm was married to the love of his life, Martha Jane (Peal) for 62 years.
Malcolm retired from the printing industry after 45 years of service. He was a World War II Navy Veteran; a member of Grace Church in LaCenter, KY for over 64 years, where he served as pastoral assistant for over 25 years. Malcolm was a Mason for 75 years and was a member of the Wickliffe Masonic Lodge #625. Anyone who knew Malcolm knew he an avid UK basketball fan, enjoyed fishing at Axe Lake and gardening, especially in his tomatoes.
He is survived by his four children; Pat (Murry) Raines of Bowling Green, KY, Ken (Susan) Stewart of Lovelaceville, KY, Jane (Les) of Lascassas, TN and Gail McDanel of LaCenter, KY; six grandchildren; Chris Raines, Jason Carpenter, Ben Stewart, Annie Denton, Michael McDanel and Macy McDanel; and eight great grandchildren.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jane Stewart, his wife's parents, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.
Funeral service and masonic rites will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Carroll officiating.
Interment will follow at Wickliffe City Cemetery with Military Honors.
