Mary Katherine (Carner) Rice

Wickliffe, KY Mary Katherine Rice, age 83, passed away at Life Care Center in LaCenter, KY May 9, 2024. She was born to her late parents, Raymond and Christine (Hodge) Carner in Marion, KY on November 15, 1940.

Mary was a member of Blandville Baptist Church. She was employed as a real estate agent for 47 years, was a member of the National Board of Realtors and had Emeritus status. She was a Kentucky Colonel and Dutchess of Paducah. Mary enjoyed helping people and was a hospice volunteer. Through their years together Dale and Mary did a lot of camping and traveling. She loved her Lord, church family and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dale Rice of Wickliffe, KY; a sister, Virginia Zimmer of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren, Sarah Rice, Amanda Rice and John Rice.

Mary was preceded in death by a son, Charles Bradley Rice; two brothers Doyle Carner and Bobby Carner and her parents

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Brian Overstreet officiating.

Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
