Melissa A. Cook

West Paducah, KY Melissa A. Cook, age 51, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Baptist Health of Paducah, KY. She was born on October 20, 1974, in Paducah, KY to her late parents, Larry and Carolyn Buchanan Pulley.

She enjoyed diamond painting and earned two associate degrees from WKTCC—one in accounting and one in healthcare. But her greatest joy was her family and caring for them.

Melissa is survived by her husband of 22 years, Gerrick Cook of West Paducah, KY; three sons, Bryan Cook of Ledbetter, KY, Xavier Blakely of Paducah, KY, and Krystofer Cook of West Paducah, KY; three daughters, Carissa Cook of Ledbetter, KY, Breanna Blakely of Paducah, KY and Rayne Cook of West Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, Scarlet Blakely, Zahne Blakely, Kayden Blakely, Marcus House, Jaden Humphrey and Ava Humphrey; Mother-in-Law, Linda Richards of Kevil, KY; an uncle, Charles Buchannan of West Paducah, KY.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.
