Michael Newton

Smithland, KY Michael Newton age, 67 passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born in Paducah, KY to his late parents, Everett and Marie Campbell Newton.

Michael was a 1975 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. He retired from Paducah Gear where he was employed as an Industrial Mechanic.  He spent the majority of his time outdoors deer hunting or playing a round of golf. Michael was a very skilled cook.

He is survived by a son, Chad Newton (Jessica) of Wickliffe, KY a daughter, Marcie Blankenship (Leon) of Kevil, Ky, a stepdaughter, Christina Mull of Smithland, KY, two brothers; Alfred Newton (Frieda) of Tinley Park, ILL, Jimmy Newton of Salem Ky. three sisters; Nancy Garrett (Tom) of Ledbetter, Ky, Christine Coley of Paducah, KY and Vivian Ruggles of Sunrise, Florida, eight grandchildren; Tessa Blankenship, Morgan Blankenship, RyLynn Newton, Wesley Newton, Fred Mull, Jaden Santiago, Layla Santiago and Sadie Brown; one great grandchild.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Lynda Newton, a brother, David Newton, a stepson, Josh Mull and his parents.

There are no services at this time. Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY is handling arrangements.
