Mildred Irene (Cowan) Potts

Kevil, KY Mildred Irene Potts, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY. She was born October 6, 1932 to her late parents, Jim and Mary Rogers Cowan.

Mildred was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was employed as the custodian for 47 years. She loved her family and was a caregiver for her sister, Linda Cowan for 18 years. Mildred loved to garden and canned the produce, pickles, green beans, and chile sauce. She loved to work in her flowers.

She is survived by a son, David Potts and his fiance' Sharon Myrick of Ledbetter, KY; a daughter, Nancy Smith of LaCenter, KY; two grandaughters, Tammy Fick (Ronnie) of Kevil, KY and Becky Leath (Adam) of Wickliffe, Ky; great grandaughter, Abby Leath of Wickliffe,KY.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 12, at 12:00 p.m. at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Drew Gray and Rev. Richard Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
