Vanessa Gray

LaCenter, KY, Vanessa Gray, age 65, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at LifeCare Center of La Center. She was born on June 22, 1960, in Louisiana, to her late parents, Edward Owen and Betty Mae (Bird) Owen.

Vanessa attended Paducah Community College where she received her Associate of Arts Nursing Degree. She loved tending to her chickens' and roosters, geese, goats and donkeys. When she wasn't tending to her animals she could be found enjoying the outdoors, camping or fishing, or working in her flower garden, Spending time with her family, best friend Mary and her dog named, Sister, was what she enjoyed the most in life.

She is survived by one son, Michael Kevin Dennis (Tammy) of Barlow; one daughter, Debbie Riede (David) of Muskogee, Oklahoma; two brothers, Eddie Owen (Marie) of East Prairie, Missouri and Aaron Owen of Topeka, Kansas; one sister, Katie Owen of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Devin Riede, Kaylin Riede and Kylean Dennis; and two great grandchildren, Addie and Acre.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her husband Jeff Gray, sister, Toni Blankenship, her father, Edward Owen; mother and stepfather, Betty Mae and Woodrow Owen Jr.
